To dr4kan's relevant point: All of the above does you no good if you don't have Nuendo and/or the full Nuendo project and files. Once you open the song in Studio One you can (if you want) do "Save to New Folder" to get discreet copies of all the media to a S1 song folder. Drop that file on the S1 UI to open the song. In Nuendo, select all of the track panels in arrange and "Export Selected Tracks" and when the export dialog pops up, choose "Reference" to reference the audio files instead of making unnecessary copies of the audio files. It only works with the full Cubase or Nuendo afaict as the lower versions of Cubase don't import or export that format. This works for both of those products and it also works for Steinberg Sequel songs, which (I think) uses that same xml format by default. It's kinda like OMF but also with midi tracks. It won't capture plugins or anything but it will capture audio and midi and basic edits and placement. You can open Cubendo (Cubase or Nuendo) projects in Studio One by exporting "Selected Tracks" from those products, exporting to the Steinberg *.xml format, which Studio One can open directly.
